TibetNo doubt the Chinese authorities would close down this blaspheming site if it was hosted in China, categorizing Tibet as a separate country as it does. And politically they are right of course, since the annexation in 1950, Tibet is only an autonomous region. In the minds of many people in the world, not only Tibetans, Tibet is still a country though.And what a country it is to that, a paradise for a mountainophilia where most of the area have an altitude between 4000 to 5000 meters. The people are cheerful and hospitable although quite hard-boiled when it comes to doing business. Add to that the mysticism surrounding the pleasant religion Lamaism that imbues the society. |
