LebanonI didn't know very much about Lebanon before I spent my week there. It struck me how well they have managed to rebuild their society since the civil war less than 20 years ago. Both in aspects of mentality and the infrastructure.They seemed to repair one building at the time though, and not all in parallel. You can pass a perfectly modern building whilst the next still have walls perforated with bullet holes and windows destroyed by explosions, and then the next again is rebuilt. |
