MexicoFor some reason I did not have too high expectations about Mexico when I arrived, possibly because I had very limited knowledge of the history and the cultures of this part of the world. I was anyhow positively surprised, and I long to get back and explore more parts of the big country. People were friendly and I liked the colonial style architecture of the cities.I had expected to, like during my trips in Asia, experience a culture very different from the European, but it felt instead very similiar. Which maybe shouldn't come as a surprise considering the strong influence that Europe/US have had on Mexico over the last 500 years.... |
